Meeting Place

The meeting place for the Moreton Bay Beer Tour is at Petrie Train Station.  This is a major train interchange so you should find it easy to make your way there.  Wait for the tour bus near the Customer Support / Ticket Office. This is on the side of the tracks closest to Line 1 and the only side that has a ticket office and toilet.
  • Time: 11.30am sharp departure

Optional:  If you’re from the North Lakes area, and prefer just to make your way to our first venue, Thirsty Chiefs Brewing and we can meet you there.

Venue 1

Thirsty Chiefs Brewing Co. is housed in a huge warehouse converted to a commercial grade microbrewery. Their core range of beers and ciders are styled on popular brews such as Corona, XXXX and Little Creatures and often have specialty beers on offer. They’re also a brewery supply store, so if there’s anything you needed to top up on, you could grab it here.

Venue 2

Beardy’s Bar and Kitchen. This place rocks.  As well as awesome burgers, hotdogs, chips, homemade desserts… look let’s face it… the whole menu rocks. They also has a small supply of draft craft beers and an impressive selection of small batch and limited release cans.  We stop off here for lunch and more beer tastings.  It’s little different as we aren’t tasting beers brewed onsite, instead, we take Beardy’s advice on some unique beers we have to sample.

Venue 3

White Brick Brewing. Head Brewer, Adam Gibb, proudly supports local and has named his delicious brews after the region – “Petrie Pilsener”, “Plantation Pale Ale”, “Griffin Golden Ale” just to name a few.

Venue 4

Brendale Brewing Co. Another warehouse converted to microbrewery with it’s interior kitted out with locally sourced pallet-style tables and bar styles.  They had humble beginnings and escalated their production in June 2018. This place is always busy with a loyal following of locals. With beer this good, it’s hard to stay away

We leave you here

We say our goodbye as the tour officially ends after Venue #4, however the day is still young to make the most of. You’re welcome to stay on drinking, or we will drop you back to Petrie station to find your way home
. Don’t be afraid to have a chat with us about a more convenient drop off location.
